Description

Repashy Calcium Plus HyD is a powdered calcium supplement formulated with a higher level of Vitamin D. It is intended for diurnal, highly heliothermic reptile species that naturally experience strong and prolonged exposure to sunlight and have physiological adaptations to these conditions. The higher Vitamin D content makes it suitable for targeted supplementation when taking the animal's UVB exposure and overall setup into consideration. Dosage and Use: The appropriate supplementation frequency should be determined by the quality and strength of the animal's UVB exposure, including the UVB source, age, distance, mesh or screen coverage, and photoperiod, as well as the species, age and condition of the animal. • Animals receiving high-quality UVB and regular exposure may require a more conservative supplementation schedule. • Different UVB conditions may require adjustments to the supplementation routine. • Apply a thin coating of powder to feeder insects or suitable plant matter as part of a carefully planned feeding and supplementation program. Important Information: • Not suitable as a universal supplement – It should not be used indiscriminately, particularly for nocturnal species where Vitamin D supplementation may need to be carefully controlled. • Avoid excessive supplementation – Do not combine with other Vitamin D-containing supplements without considering the total Vitamin D intake. • Individual supplementation – Dosage should be adjusted according to the species, animal weight, UVB exposure and overall diet. Vitamin D3 is an important nutrient for reptiles, but excessive amounts can lead to supplementation-related health problems. Always follow an appropriate dosage based on the individual animal and its access to natural or artificial UVB. When unsure about the correct supplementation routine, consult a qualified reptile specialist or veterinarian.
