Description
Repashy SuperFly is an instant fruit fly culture medium designed for growing Drosophila cultures. This nutrient-rich formula is enhanced with minerals, trace elements, vitamins, and carotenoids to help maximize the nutritional value of fruit flies when used as feeder insects. Instructions: For a standard 32 oz deli container, mix 3 tablespoons of SuperFly media with 2/3 cup of prepared water when using boiling water, or approximately 4 tablespoons when using hot tap water. Stir thoroughly until well combined. The finished mixture should be soft enough to flatten when the container is gently tapped against a table. Add a small amount of additional water or media if needed to achieve the correct consistency. Allow the mixture to cool completely before adding fruit flies. Introduce the flies and maintain the culture at approximately 75°F (24°C). Larvae should begin appearing within approximately 5–15 days, with adult flies developing in around 10–30 days, depending on the species and temperature.
