Description
The Exo Terra 600W Dimming & Pulse Proportional Thermostat is designed to provide precise temperature control for reptile and amphibian terrariums. By regulating heating equipment according to the required temperature, it helps create stable temperature gradients that allow animals to thermoregulate naturally. The thermostat features separate daytime and nighttime temperature settings, making it possible to reproduce natural temperature fluctuations while helping prevent excessive heating or cooling. Its Dimming & Pulse Proportional technology maintains temperatures more accurately than conventional thermostats and helps minimize temperature fluctuations within the terrarium. An easy-to-read blue LCD displays both the current and target temperature. The built-in light sensor automatically switches between the programmed daytime and nighttime temperatures according to the surrounding light level. A red LED and heating symbol indicate when the connected heating device is operating, while the display changes once the desired temperature has been reached. The waterproof remote probe can be safely used in humid terrariums and aquatic environments. The thermostat is compatible with heat mats, heat cables, ceramic heaters, and heat bulbs, provided the connected equipment is within the 600W capacity. Important Information: The thermostat should always be programmed according to the specific temperature requirements of the animal being kept. Research the preferred optimum temperature range for the species and position the temperature probe correctly to establish appropriate temperature gradients throughout the terrarium.
